Seeking Nominations for the 2022 Individual & Firm Honor Design Awards

AIA Philadelphia and the Board of Directors are seeking nominations for the John Frederick Harbeson Award, the Paul Philippe Cret Award, the PEA Prize, and Young Architect (YA) Prize.

John Frederick Harbeson Award

The Harbeson award is presented annually to a long-standing member of the architectural community and is intended to recognize their significant contributions over their lifetime to the architectural profession and its related disciplines. To nominate your candidate, please complete the Harbeson Award Nomination form and provide examples of their contributions to the architectural profession, the American Institute of Architects, the education of the architectural community, and their contributions to the Philadelphia community at large. Nominations are due no later than Friday, July 15, and are required to include the following: Resume / Bio for the individual being nominated and a blurb outlining the reason the individual should be considered for the award.

Paul Philippe Cret Award

The Cret Award recognizes an individual or organization that, while not an architect, has made a lasting contribution to the design excellence of the Greater Philadelphia community's buildings and landscapes. The Cret award provides permanent recognition for those leaders outside the design professionals who have made such a contribution. To nominate your candidate, please complete the Cret Award Nomination form.

Nominations are due no later than Friday, July 15, and are required to include the following: Resume / Bio for the individual being nominated and a blurb outlining the reason the individual should be considered for the award.

Young Architect (YA) Prize

The Fellows Committee of AIA Philadelphia annually recognizes a young architect who has demonstrated exceptional early achievement and future promise.  The award is intended not only to honor the recipient, but to introduce the design community and the public to new voices within the profession and to encourage other young practitioners in their careers. To submit or learn more about the YA Prize criteria please view and complete this form.

Applications are due no later than Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Philadelphia Emerging Architect (PEA) Prize

The PEAPrize is awarded annually to recognize an emerging architecture firm producing high-quality design and thinking within the Philadelphia region. Awarded through a juried portfolio submission, the winning firm will present their design processes and philosophies through a lecture and exhibition.
