Designblendz Architecture is currently seeking a Project Architect to join our team within the Philadelphia office working on a range of residential and mixed-use projects. Project Architect responsibilities include production of architectural designs and construction documents, coordination with consulting engineers and contractors, high levels of team communication, and assisting the project manager in team scheduling.

An ideal project architect has 6+ years of experience with multiple years of proven experience in residential design. Experience working on single-family and small multi-family projects is preferred. The ability to quickly problem solve and be a part of multiple projects at a time is a must. Project Architects will consistently interact with junior-level staff to complete job tasks and facilitate professional development. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam Revu are required and will be used on a daily basis. Strong technical skills in construction detailing as well as experience in construction administration are desired.

Required Experience: 

• Registered Architect
• Bachelor or Masters of Architecture
• 6+ years of experience
• 3+ years of residential design
• Experience in all phases of design (schematic design, design development, construction documents and permitting, construction administration)

Required Skills: 

• Strong understanding of IRC/IBC codes and Design Guidelines
• Strong communication skills. Able to interact, collaborate, and respond to clients, staff members, and consulting engineers
• Fluent in Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam Revu
