Our team currently has an opening for a Design Lead, Affordable Housing Specialty. Ideal candidates should reside within our preferred geographic area, PA, NJ, NY, MD or DE. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including working jointly with our DWELL Market Group, relative to the internal and external tasks of managing, executing, and coordinating projects as well as the ability to produce renderings and drawings both hand sketches and using BIM/CAD. Design Lead will work with minimal supervisor from senior staff and take the lead on small and medium size projects.


Ideal candidates will have:

  • 15+ years of Experience and understanding working within the affordable housing market segment. Knowledge of state and federal government programs is required.
  • Understanding of funding through Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other federal and state funding programs typically associated with the development of affordable housing.
  • Ability to manage budget and resources to produce high level results in an inclusive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Broad base of experience in all aspects of design, documentation, and construction administration
  • Ability to work within Revit, Sketch-up and AutoCAD
  • Bachelor of Architecture (professional degree preferred) along with a professional license.
