Back in the mid-1990s, Christopher Zelov co-created the groundbreaking film "Ecological Design: Inventing the Future". The film went on to win 7 film awards and influenced the mainstreaming of the global sustainability movement.

This 12-session class will be a learning journey through Zelov’s influential work over the past 20 years, including insights into his multiple film and book projects in collaboration with some of the most famous names in the sustainability movement. Students will come away with an understanding of how the sustainability movement of today developed and how they can participate in the reshaping of the systems and structures which define our world into a more sustainable future.

Christopher Zelov is a graduate of the Wharton School with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Education, studied Film and Telecommunications at New York University, and spent three years atending the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. His films and books include "Ecological Design: Inventing the Future", "City21" (with Phil Cousineau and Dr. William J. Cohen), "Design Outlaws on the Ecological Frontier" (with Phil Cousineau and Brian Danitz), and "Some Songs to the Stars" (with Ian McHarg).
