Hooper Shiles Architects is now Heckendorn Shiles Architects
Hooper Shiles Architects, a studio-based, architectural firm in Wayne, PA, is now Heckendorn Shiles Architects. The name change reflects the expanded leadership role of co-owner Matthew Heckendorn, AIA, LEED AP; with firm founder and partner Mitchell Shiles, AIA, Heckendorn manages a diverse portfolio of architecture, interior design and planning projects. A graduate and faculty member of Drexel University, Heckendorn joined the firm in 1997, and was promoted to principal in 2007.
HSA was established in 1989 by Shiles and the late Phil Hooper. The firm is known for its expertise in a variety of project types, including: Corporate; campus/academic; sports and recreation facilities; adaptive reuse and LEED projects; commercial projects, including restaurants; and municipal facilities.
