Duffield Associates, an award-winning engineering and science consulting firm specializing in water, soil and the built environment, celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.

"A company's 35th year in business is a milestone event and ours is particularly momentous. We are among a very few mid-sized consulting engineering firms founded during the last 35 years which has not been acquired by or merged with another firm. Our longevity and continuing success is a tribute to our founding vision and especially to the dedication, hard work and client service ethic of our professional staff both present and past," says Guy Marcozzi, P.E., the firm's President. "We have a great team and are optimistic about our future," Marcozzi says.

The company started with two employees in 1976 by founder James F. Duffield, P.E. in Newark, Delaware. In 1980, the company moved into a farmhouse in the Pike Creek Valley. As the company grew, it rebuilt and expanded an historic barn on its office campus. Today the firm’s landmark Wilmington campus is comprised of three buildings.
