Know a recent storefront renovation that deserves recognition? The City of Philadelphia Commerce Department and the Community Design Collaborative invite you to nominate an outstanding storefront façade improvement project for the Citywide Storefront Challenge, an awards program demonstrating that good design is good business.
The Citywide Storefront Challenge will recognize unique, thoughtful, and appealing storefront façade improvement projects that have had a positive impact on their commercial corridors and communities. Business owners, customers, neighbors, designers, contractors, corridor managers, and property owners are invited to nominate a project. To be eligible, projects must be located in Philadelphia and completed since September 2010. Nomination forms are due Friday, September 14, 2012. Businesses, corridor managers, community organizations, and designers will be publicly recognized at a special event during Design Philadelphia, a city-wide celebration of design in the region. Over ten awards will be presented.
The City of Philadelphia Commerce Department and the Community Design Collaborative are hosting the Citywide Storefront Challenge as part of an ongoing partnership to promote reinvestment in Philadelphia’s vital neighborhood commercial corridors.
