The AIA Bookstore + Design Center, Philadelphia's premier shopping location for architecture books, unique gifts, and creative toys, has opened a second location at the intersection of 7th and Sansom streets. The AIA Bookstore's flagship location remains at the Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia. Working in cooperation with the Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), the Bookstore will bring its traditional line of products to the Washington Square neighborhood.

"We're excited to branch out into a new neighborhood," says John Claypool, AIA, Executive Director of AIA Philadelphia, which operates the Bookstore. "Working in conjunction with CHAD, with its focus on architecture and design, is a natural fit. We look forward to building a new customer base while offering our existing customers two convenient shopping locations."

The AIA Bookstore offers a wide selection of books on architecture, interior design, renovation, preservation and landscaping, as well technical and theory books for students and design professionals. The Bookstore also carries a broad and unique selection of designer gifts, jewelry, stationery, children's toys, housewares and other unusual and interesting objects. The Bookstore also offers the Holiday Shop at the end of each year, which features one of Philadelphia's best selections of holiday ornaments, cards, and seasonal items.

Holiday Bookstore hours, beginning November 25:
1218 Arch Street:
Mon., Tue., Sat., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wed., Thurs., Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sun. 12 to 6 p.m.

7th and Sansom:
Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.
