About the Firm
For over 40 years, UJMN Architects + Designers (formerly Ueland Junker McCauley Nicholson) has provided award-winning architectural services, involving new construction, the adaptive reuse and renovation of existing structures, and historic restoration, to a variety of institutional clients throughout the eastern United States. These include universities, colleges, independent schools, museums, corporations, and real estate developers. We view each project as an opportunity to explore innovations, sustainable design strategies, new materials and context. In every case, we work alongside our clients to make purposeful yet inspired decisions, resulting in designs that respond to both the visions and practical needs of our clients. UJMN is one of the few studios nationwide that provides architectural design and exhibit design within a single firm. In addition, we provide museum planning and design, environmental graphic design, sustainable design and LEED certification services, and planning and programming studies. Recent projects have achieved LEED certification at the Platinum and Gold levels.
