About the Firm
Stark design, founded by Jennifer A. Stark,AIA,CSBA, is a woman-owned firm. Ms. Stark is a licensed architect, has a Master's Degree in Historic Preservation, and is a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor accredited by the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute. Stark design specializes in the preservation, rehabilitation, and adaptive use of historic buildings, the design of sensitive additions to historic buildings, and the design of new buildings that are appropriate to their setting and context. Our expanded services include the preparation of preservation plans, master plans, code analysis, ADA compliance review, condition assessments, cultural resource surveys, grant writing, and preservation consulting. We are versed in sustainable design and building philosophies and incorporate these principles into our work as we merge historical buildings with the needs of the 21st century.
