About the Firm
L & M DESIGN LLC offers architecture, planning and urban design services to developers throughout the East Coast and the Midwest. The firm's work includes master planning, feasibility studies, community planning and architecture for infill and large-scale mixed-use, condominium and rental communities, brownfield developments, commercial retail centers and custom single-family design with a special emphasis on sustainability. Laura Staines Giardino, AIA, PP, and Michael D. Giardino, AIA PP, are nationally recognized for their expertise in architecture and community planning. Together they share over 50 years' experience in design and planning for the development industry. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Design of the Environment, Laura's career has encompassed the design and planning of state-of-the-art residential and mixed-use communities throughout the country. Michael, a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Pennsylvania, has experience as both a developer/builder and architect/planner. Both hold professional licenses in over twenty states and are registered planners in the State of New Jersey. They are experienced speakers at national industry-related conventions. END
