This position reports to the Director of Communications. The Proposal Manager must have a proven track record marketing and writing proposals in the architectural field. This is a writing intensive job and requires strong editing, proofreading and grammatical skills. Responsibilities — Respond to RFPs in coordination with the Client Development Manager, Principals, and President — Write, edit and procure content for the proposals — Take full responsibility for the development, production, printing, binding and shipping of completed proposals — Select appropriate images for proposals and design layout — Support the firm’s public relations efforts — Actively network in commercial real estate, healthcare, and life sciences communities — Stay abreast of architectural market trends Desired Qualifications — Strong editing, proofreading and grammatical skills — Demonstrated ability to write fresh proposal text or modify existing proposals to meet new needs — Ability to work on multiple projects and work against tight deadlines — Team player and highly professional — Strong organizational skills — Creative thinker and motivated self starter — Highly detailed — 5+ years experience in writing proposals — Bachelor degree, preferably in Marketing, English, Journalism or Architecture

Responsibilities — Plan, direct, and supervise the work of major projects in academic learning environments. — Lead architects and design staff in technical excellence specific to the design of campuses and institutions of higher education. — Serve as the technical consultant in area of specialty for the firm and the client. — Determine methods and solutions for complex problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the project goals and objectives. — Lead project marketing efforts and build Francis Cauffman’s position as a leader in design of learning environments and campuses. Desired Qualifications — Proven experience in the design of higher education institutions — Background in working with clients in the academic community — Strong communication skills — Ability to use sound and independent judgment — Excellent analytical and problem solving skills — Experience leading multi-disciplinary team — Experience writing articles and/or presenting before national organizations and conferences is a plus — 20+ years experience in architecture with specific concentration in the design of institutions for higher education — Bachelors and/or Masters Architecture
